Riversleigh Comfort Inn is, other than many other Bairnsdale accommodation options, not located on a major highway. Therefore, you do not have to deal with traffic noise. The Inn overlooks the Mitchell River and the surrounding parkland. Shops, markets, and the railway stations are within easy walking distance.
Riversleigh has 20 guest rooms with 12-foot high ceilings and brass or wrought iron beds. While thoroughly modernized, Riversleigh has retained their original Victorian design. Spa rooms with 2-person spas are available. There is also a Deluxe Balcony suite available that features a separate kitchen/lounge area as well as a balcony overlooking the river. Bairnsdale Accommodation Option #3: Parkvale Holiday Cabins
The Parkvale Holiday Cabins are located only 10 minutes outside of Bairnsdale. They are a very affordable option for families needing to get away. There are two cabins with electricity and two without. Each cabin has a fully equipped, self-contained kitchen. However, the cabins without electricity use gas powered appliances and lighting. The cabins with electricity have TVs in their lounge areas. All the cabins provide linens and towels, a private balcony, bathrooms, and outdoor barbeques. Pets are welcome here.

With the river so close by, there is plenty of fishing, boating, and water recreation to engage in.
The trails, parks, and wildlife preserves offer all the hiking and horseback riding you can handle.
