The town of Castlemaine is located in a valley at the junction of three creeks.

It is primarily known for its historic gold mines, museums, and the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park.

Tourists are also drawn to their gorgeous Botanical Gardens.

A steam train runs out of Castlemaine and all the way to Maldon.

Castlemaine has a substantial fruit-growing and farming area, but they are much more than just a historical and agricultural society.

They offer everything from antiques to art to gourmet dining.

They have movies and live music at the Theatre Royal and many fine art galleries.

There is truly something for everyone here.
