The Moonah Classic is a golf tournament held at Moonah Links, one of Australia’s most famous golf grounds.

Some of the activities and festivities around this major golf event are still unknown.

However, what we do know is that the Open Course at Moonah Links is expected to be packed with visitors and golfers from around the world in February.

The event is being offered by the Australian PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour tournament. You should expect several players from Australia to play, as well as some international players. The championship is expected to offer a prize of $850,000 AUD to the winner.

The Nationwide Tour is part of the United States PGA circuit. It is the only event being held on Australian soil that will be part of the Nationwide Tour. All other tour dates are for the US alone. The event is going to be the 3rd on the Nationwide Tour.

It is expected to solidify relationships between Australian players and the US to help create more pathways for the players to go head to head. The Nationwide Tour has allowed other countries to participate in earlier years such as the New Zealand Tour, but the Australian Moonah Classic is a first.

Moonah Classic Details

Moonah Links is known as one of the best golf courses in the world and a great place for this championship to be hosted. They have a stadium that was built for golfing tours with the best views of the players on the field. The entry fee has been confirmed at $5 AUD for parking and free entry into the stadium. The event is supposed to be open from 6am to 7pm daily. The Moonah Classic was also hosted last year, but with less media play and US players. Last year the Moonah Classic was held for 3 days in February at the Moonah Links. In fact since the Moonah Links was opened they have hosted this Championship in 2003 and 2005.

Despite the short history on the Moonah Classic it is an event to be seen.

For the golfing fanatic, it is definitely worth a stop at Moonah Links.

With top players attending who are all aiming for a prestigious win at Moonah Links, it is a great event to go to.

You will not regret it.
